Hearing Loss Friendly

Hearing Loss Friendly is a free membership website for people with hearing loss to search for accessible venues and accommodation. Our website features hotels, self-catering accommodation, spas, visitor attractions and conference centres which are accessible and welcoming to people with hearing loss and we promote places which have attained our charter mark.

Our 'Sounds Good' charter mark is awarded to establishments which meet our criteria for access and safety, including having clear Access Statements, appropriate fire safety equipment, fixed hearing loops and well-trained, friendly staff. The charter mark is administered via our company, Access Solutions.

There is an administration fee for the charter assessment and an annual fee to be listed on the Hearing Loss Friendly website. We promote listed venues via blogs, articles and social media. If assessments can't be carried out on site, they may be carried out via Skype and email, with evidence being submitted via photographs and video clips.
