Office de tourisme Tours Val de Loire

In the heart of the Loire Chateaux, the tourist office of Tours is in the city-centre, in front of the SNCF train station and close to the Vinci. This building gives the visitors information on the area of the conurbation of Tours as well as on all its region. It provides an accommodation booking service, excursions, ticketing, guided tours and of numerous other activities. A souvenir and local products shop is also accessible. The tourist office is opened all the year except on the 1st January and 25 December. It has free WIFI, seats and a video promoting the region. The staff has been given an awareness training to the reception of customers with disabilities. New tools have been created: documentation in braille and enlarged characters, thematic pictograms, magnetic loop at the reception desk, inventory of the adapted touristic offer available... The tourist office is an accessible, single-storey building, and has the Label Tourisme & Handicap for the motor, mental, hearing and visual disability. The website of the tourist office provides a special section: « I am living with a disability » proposing accessible excursion, restaurants, accommodations and stays.
