The Youth Hostel Ars Viva is located in a rural setting in the village of Podcerkev, part of the Loška valley overlooking the beautiful Snežnik forest. It is just 62 km away from the capital, Ljubljana. We offer wheelchair accessible overnight accommodation in our carefully designed hostel that has been built using natural and local materials. Surrounded by mountain peaks with breathtaking views, colorful meadows and the largest intermittent lake in Europe, the region offers plenty of opportunities for discovering natural and cultural heritage of the region. At our cultural center, guests have the opportunity to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life by taking part in the various workshops and activities that we offer. These include different activities in nature, as well as on the homestead. The youth hostel premises have a friendly atmosphere and host open air musical and theatrical events during the summer. Overnight accommodation Apartment of four rooms with 12 beds (+ 2 extra beds available on request): All rooms except the dormitory (six beds), are fully wheelchair accessible. The apartment has two bathrooms, a washing machine, and a kitchen and living room space. It also includes an outside terrace with a gorgeous view of Mount Snežnik. The Youth Hostel accommodation consists of 29 beds (extra beds/cribs available on request). All rooms except the dorms (12 beds), are fully wheelchair accessible. The Youth hostel premises include double rooms with private bathrooms, double rooms and a triple room with shared bathrooms, as well as single beds in shared rooms. The shared space includes a kitchen and dining room, library, computer space, art gallery, Mountain View terrace, laundry room, room with the stove, a hall, free parking space and outdoor picnic area.
